Shaun Hutton

Ph.D., RMHCI

Dr. Shaun Hutton holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and dual Master’s degrees in Counseling and Educational Psychology. She is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI), Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), and Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC). She’s also a Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer and PREPaRE-certified in school crisis response. With over 22 years of experience, Dr. Hutton has supported individuals and families in educational and clinical settings.


Her passion for counseling began in high school and evolved into a lifelong commitment to helping clients navigate personal and relational challenges through an attachment-focused lens. She has worked with adolescents, couples, and families, with a particular strength in connecting with teens and adult males.

Her specialties include addiction, grief, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, family conflict, racial identity, school issues, and body image. Dr. Hutton is an LGBTQIA+ inclusive provider and fosters a culturally affirming, safe space. Her therapeutic approach combines TF-CBT and CBT with Educational Psychology, Multicultural Counseling, Solution-Focused, and Strength-Based therapies to create personalized care for every client.
