Marci Vandhuynslager

Marci Vandhuynslager is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor based in Florida, providing therapy to adults and adolescents. With two decades of prior law enforcement experience—including roles as Special Agent, Major of Operations, and Assistant Chief of Police—she brings a deep, firsthand understanding of trauma, crisis response, and high-stress professions to her clinical practice.


Since 2017, Marci has worked across diverse behavioral health settings, including inpatient and outpatient programs, community mental health, court-mandated treatment, and school-based services. She specializes in anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and substance use. She is also EMDR-certified and experienced in supporting first responders, peer support, and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM).


Marci’s therapeutic approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, blending psychodynamic theory, solution-focused therapy, internal family systems, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. She is committed to creating a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore challenges and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
