Jenni Rivas

Jenni Rivas is a bilingual Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NOVA Southeastern University. With a background in working with children with autism, Jenni has expanded her clinical work to support adolescents, adults, parents, and families through both individual and family therapy.
Jenni’s specialties include trauma, parent-child relationships, identity development, and transitional life periods, especially those centered around women’s issues. She has experience helping clients navigate challenges related to abuse, bereavement, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, parenting, family conflict, and sexual identity. She brings deep sensitivity to those with complex trauma histories, including exposure to addiction, domestic violence, neglect, and gang involvement.
Rooted in a Person-Centered philosophy, Jenni integrates evidence-based and expressive approaches including Trauma-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), and Faith-Based Counseling. She also incorporates creative modalities like Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Sandplay to engage clients in meaningful, individualized ways.
Jenni’s approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on healing through connection, helping clients not only recover but grow and thrive in their lives.
